Profile dimensions and guides
Colours
The full palette, matched across the roof.
Sheeting is rolled from 100 per cent Australian-made COLORBOND® steel in the standard palette, with Matt and Ultra finishes on the profiles that carry them, along with ZINCALUME® and galvanised steel. The colour chips in the configurator show the real range for the finish you have chosen. Other finishes, including Unicote®, can be quoted by the shop.
Flashings, gutter, fascia, screws and sealant can all be supplied in the same colour, so the roof reads as one surface. Colours on screen are a guide only; ask for a sample chip if you are matching existing work. Design a matching flashing or see the gutter and fascia range.
Common questions
Cutting, gauge, colour and delivery.
What lengths can you cut?
Any length up to 10,000 mm per sheet, entered in millimetres. Order exactly what the roof needs; runs longer than 10,000 mm are joined with an end lap on site. Please note we can deliver sheets up to 8,000 mm long; delivery of sheets over 8,000 mm is priced individually (length, quantity and location), cannot be calculated online and is an additional cost, which we quote and confirm with you before dispatch. Pick up is not affected.
Which gauge should I choose?
Gauge is the base metal thickness (BMT). 0.42 mm is the standard for houses, patios and sheds. 0.48 mm is stiffer and suits longer spans, commercial work and areas with heavy foot traffic. If in doubt, ask us and we will confirm against your batten spacing.
Can you match my existing colour?
Yes. We supply the full COLORBOND® standard palette, plus Matt and Ultra where the profile allows, along with ZINCALUME® and galvanised. Bring or post a sample if you are unsure of the name, and we will match flashings, gutter, screws and sealant in the same colour. Other finishes can be quoted by the shop.
Do you sell clear polycarbonate sheets?
Yes. Ampelite polycarbonate roofing in Corrugated and 5 Rib profiles, in Clear, Opal and Diffused Grey. It laps into steel sheets of the same profile to bring light into patios, carports and sheds. Choose Polycarbonate as the finish, then enter your lengths as for steel. Polycarbonate is ordered in to your lengths, so we confirm the ready date with you when you order. Ask us for the correct polycarbonate fixing screws and washers.
How long does it take?
Roof sheeting is rolled to order and is normally ready within two business days of your order being confirmed. Large orders and some finishes can take a little longer; we tell you at the time if so.
Do you deliver?
You can collect from our factory at Coombabah on the Gold Coast, or have the order delivered. Freight is quoted for your suburb after you order and confirmed with you before anything is dispatched. Long sheets need specialised transport, so allow a little longer for delivery of long lengths.
