5 Rib is the profile most people picture when they think of a modern metal roof: broad flat pans with evenly spaced square ribs. The pans read cleanly from the street, and the 29 mm ribs carry water efficiently on long runs.
It is an equivalent profile to Lysaght Trimdek®, supplied by Roofing Depot on the Gold Coast, so it suits flashings, fasteners and accessories designed for that shape. Flashings are made to match in the same colour in our own factory.

Common questions
5 Rib (Trimdek-style): common questions.
What are the dimensions of a Trimdek-style 5 Rib sheet?
Cover width 762 mm, rib height 29 mm, rib spacing 190.5 mm centre to centre, rib top 23.5 mm, rib base 60 mm and a 130 mm pan between ribs. Sheets are cut to any length up to 10,000 mm.
How many 5 Rib sheets do I need?
Measure the roof along the gutter line in millimetres and divide by 762, then round up to the next whole sheet. For example, a 6,000 mm wide roof needs 6,000 ÷ 762 = 7.9, so 8 sheets. The configurator on this page does the calculation for you in the By area tab.
Is your 5 Rib the same as Trimdek?
It is an equivalent profile with the same cover and rib spacing, supplied by Roofing Depot. Trimdek® is a trade mark of Lysaght; our sheets are not manufactured by Lysaght.
Which thickness should I choose?
0.42 mm BMT is the standard for houses, patios and sheds. 0.48 mm is stiffer and suits longer spans, commercial work and roofs with regular foot traffic.
How long does it take?
5 Rib is rolled to order and is normally ready within two business days of your order being confirmed. Collect from Coombabah or have it delivered; freight is quoted for your suburb before dispatch.
